Sustainable development is the pathway to the future we want for all. It offers a framework to generate economic growth, achieve social justice, exercise environmental stewardship and strengthen governance.

Ban Ki-moon

Third World Countries defined as less developed or industrialized compared to first-world states which are mostly consisting capitalist societies that contribute to the economy of the world is redundant. Although some states are still classified under the mentioned category, the term argued to be invalid anymore in current reality. A developing country is less industrialized and developed in terms of human resources. The term '' developing '' itself is debatable as states are always in progression and constant changes in a state's public policy and the leadership itself should be taken into consideration as to be discussed in motion. Terms such as newly-industrialized, emerging and frontier markets are been using widely as reference points.

Yet, certain attributions are to be taken into consideration as the level of access in terms of education that promotes illiteracy, health due to poor sanitation and hygiene that leads to diseases, energy poverty, food security, corruption, political imbalance etc. Development aid or development cooperation is financial aid given by governments, interstate and intrastate agencies to support the economic, environmental, social and political development of developing countries, including international organizations such as the United Nations (UN). As mentioned in the earlier text, the generalization of developing countries should be redefined as even World Bank had decided not to distinguish between "developed" and "developing" countries in the presentation of its data, considering the two-category distinction outdated. Kofi Annan, for Secretary-General of the UN, had defined a developed country as "one that allows all its citizens to enjoy a free and healthy life in a safe environment".

Serious measures to be taken into consideration to ensure the environment to be in a proper condition for sustainable development; politically, economically and socially.
