“One of the marvellous things about community is that it enables us to welcome and help people in a way we couldn't as individuals.”
– Jean Vanier
The community which has neither poverty nor riches will always have the noblest principles. A thought inspired Plato, community project is a platform for an individual or a group of people to stay connected to a community while aiding them for betterment that corresponds to our life evaluation.
Such opportunity knocks the door of International Studies undergraduates from the Faculty of Social Sciences & Humanities (Universiti Malaysia Sarawak). It was a successful attempt at Kg. Selepong Beranggan, Sri Aman whereby the project was executed from 28-30 November with the longhouse community. Despite ups and downs since it was a group project, everything was easier to accomplish than we thought due to excellent teamwork. Personally, it had taught me and my friends the values of appreciating basic needs and human relations. The villagers were cooperative and full of hospitality; the kids in particular. Definitely it was worth to be remembered and to be listed in my book of life memories. One word; they're just AWESOME!!!
